Happy Tuesday everyone! A classic chambray button-up is an absolute staple in my closet. If you don’t already have one I definitely recommend going to either Gap, J.Crew or Old Navy to pick one up. When I’m in my closet and just can’t anything to wear, I always go for my chambray top (when in doubt, wear chambray ;).  It can be styled countless ways and paired with so many different colors. Over the weekend, I was in Dallas for a blogger conference and I decided to switch up my outfit last minute, I originally had planned to wear a floral dress, but the morning of I just wasn’t feeling it (I’m sure you know how that is) luckily, I packed the most versatile top in my closet, it was a life saver. What is your closet staple?

xo, Rach

  1. ♥ Those beautiful Valentinos! Yay for chambray! :) cheesy I know… My staple is definitely a patterned top, I have this one mullet, short sleeves blouse from Zara that buttons up the back, it is all kinds of colours with a faux black leather trimmed coller. It goes with everything!

  2. Beautiful bag!!! I have the same one in red and wore it on my blog a few weeks ago with a chambray dress! I adore chambray. It’s definitely my staple, too. Love your flats! I have the non-cage ones… Be sure to take them to a cobbler so they can put a metal tap in the sole up by the point. It definitely keeps the flat in better shape since it’s a pointed toe. Great post as always!

  3. I love the detail hidden underneath the skirt! So feminine & chic. If I had to choose a closet staple it would have to be my boyfriend jeans — dressing them up with heels or down with a pair of slip on sneakers makes them so versatile & fun.

  4. You are so right about chambray! I’m so glad I picked up one from J. Crew a few weeks ago because I was like, “If I had a chambray top to go with this.” once too many times, lol!

I was hoping to spot you and Emily here in Dallas, but to no avail! That bag is AMAZING! I’m assuming you nabbed at NM Flagship?

  5. a chambray is totally my go-to as well! it can be worn so many ways that it is just so easy and i think looks good on everyone!

ps your hair looks so great in these pictures!

  6. Rach! This look is so perfect with the green and blush tones! I would 100% have to agree on the chambray!
Also, are the Rockstud flats comfortable ?
I’m thinking of investing in a pair for the summer, I just don’t have a Neimans on hand anymore :(
    Thanks love!

  7. Gorgeous bag

You are missing a word “find” in “When I’m in my closet and just can’t anything to wear, I always go for my chambray top (when in doubt, wear chambray ;)” Just thought to let you know.

  8. Cute outfit. Loved your pics from your Dallas trip on Instagram. So jealous that you’re in Cabo right now! Looks like so much fun. Can’t wait to see your next blog post on that. I would have to say my “go to” item is a graphic tee. It’s easy to dress up or down.

    Stay Styled,

  9. I HATE when I go on a trip and then I’m not feeling the outfite I’ve packed! That’s the worst!

I recently posted on styling my boyfriend’s chambray when in a pinch! Haha such a staple and I was desperate!

  10. I love chambray shirts! I have a board on Pinterest devoted to the countless ways to style them! I am absolutely loving this look. The skirt is so fun & stylish. I adore your two new matching investments of the purse & shoes! Amazing! Great color choice!! Beautiful as always:)

  11. I have to say my closet staple is loose fitting graphic tee. I have a love for the Jcrew ones. You can dress them up with a jacket and heels or dress them down by wearing them on their own with shorts or jeans. Love em!

  12. Travel needs a comfy “fall back on” outfit just in case! I’d have to say my go to piece is a denim skirt that goes with anything (even new things you pick up while traveling!)

  13. Love the Tumi suitcase colors. And I need all the packing advice I can get ;)
Is this your new Master bedroom? It’s gorgeous… can’t wait to see the rest of your new home.:)

  14. I have a tailored, white Tilley Endurables shirt that is over twenty years old. It is my goto top every time. Like chambray, it goes with everything.

  15. I’m not even sure if you read the comments (or the older ones anyway) but your hair here is so pretty-this length and texture suits you so much and love this outfit. I seemed to have missed this older one even though I’ve followed along for years. xx Karla
