Isla Rose Turns Two…

^^I think Drew was more excited about the piñata that Isla haha!  ^^She’s thrilled to be taking a photo with me ;)

Ok, I know Isla’s birthday was back in May and I’ve been dying to share all the details with you! Just last week it was featured on Instyle.com, you can read the full article here. I wanted to combine all her favorite things which are: balloons, the color pink and anything with sparkle, a bubble machine (oh and pizza. that was on the main menu item hand selected by Isla)!!! She was definitely the life of the party!

Thank goodness for Zurchers!! They had all of the party decor I needed to make her party what it was. They provided all of the balloons too for that stupid balloon arch I made myself. It took me FOREVER but in the end it was so worth it! I don’t want to see or touch another balloon until Jackson’s birthday though ;).  You can find all of the products on this page.

It was the perfect day celebrating our Isla Rose! Thanks to Zurchers for partnering with me and helping make my vision a reality!!!

xo, Rach

  1. Rach, this is AMAZING! So beautiful… I know Isla is only two, but I wish my birthday parties looked like this. I only imagine hers will get even better each year, too.

    xoxo,

  2. I can’t believe she’s 2 already! Time flies! Her party looks just like her personality seems – simply precious! Way to go with that arch!!!

  3. I have to be honest and say that I’ve been waiting for this post! Haha! I remember watching you set things up on IG stories and shared some shots, but I was wondering if you were going to share more on the blog; I’m so glad you did! This is such great and beautiful inspiration for me, for when I plan my daughter’s birthday when she’s older (I haven’t even had her yet, 2 more weeks to go, but it’s never bad to plan ahead ;) Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having a great start to your week, girlie!

  4. Such a gorgeous party! Beyond impressed that you made the balloon arch yourself – totally worth it! And dying to know more details about how you did it??

    Thanks!

    1. Haha thanks!! So I blew up a ton of balloons and ended up stringing them on fish wire to create two long strings about 6 feet long. Then I used 3M command hooks to create the arch shape I wanted! So hard but so worth it!

  11. Hi Rachel,

About how many balloons did you need for the main large arch? I would like to do something similar for my daughter! Thank you.

  12. Hi there! This party was so beautiful! I did a similar one for my daughter. When I tried to do the floating balloon arch/wrap around, I originally saw online that you’re supposed to create it with chicken wire (to hold all the balloons) and you can twist the wire in place. Unfortunately it ended up popping all the balloons. How did you get the height and the look without popping all of them? I’d love to know this for my daughter’s next birthday. Thank you!! Love your blog! C
