Home Construction Update: Interior…

^^I think I’ve told you this before but we ended up deciding on a metal door rather than a wood door. We thought it would hold up better in weather conditions since it’s so large. Wood tends to warp and the Utah weather is super wet in the winter. It looks wood until you touch it!

Paint: Iced Marble by Benjamin Moore

^^Mudhall and the dog wash! Dash fits perfectly ;) The tile in the wash is all Ann Saks.

^^Mudhall window, the size is so charming. A bench will go underneath it. // Tile for the drinking fountain nook.

^^View of kitchen

^^Pantry tile. I love the pattern and color! I’ll ask my desinger, Alice Lane where we found this (it’s been a while) and link it for you!

^^Family room view from the hall off the entry way. Also who can spot Drew?!

^^Our paint tester wall. We’ve been testing so many different Benjamin Moore shades. We are painting on the main floor next week so I will do a post once we’ve finished selecting everything with our paint color choices.

There will be a window seat nook where the side window is shorter than the others. I can’t wait to sit there in the mornings when the sun is pouring in and read books to my babes.

^^Powder bath floor. Calcutta gold marble in the shape of diamonds!

^^Entry staircase

^^Library off the entry

^^Living room fireplace and Drew’s lovely painting.

^^Master bath view into my closet.

^^Closet views.

^^Primer is on upstairs!

^^Back staircase.

^^Staircase up to the slide in the playhouse. So cute!

^^Playroom windows. This will also double as my workout room for a few months since the basement won’t be finished the same time as the upstairs.

We took these a few weeks ago and so much has changed, especially on the inside! Cabinets are going in everywhere which it makes it really feel real. Our fireplace mantles are starting to trickle in (check my IG post today to see that). Early next week I’m taking over my designer, Alice Lane’s Insta Stories to do a walkthrough with you so make sure to follow them if you’re not already so you don’t miss it!! So many fun new details to show you!

Happy Friday!

  5. Hi, love your house. Can you tell your kitchen cabinet color And design. I am planning to renovate my kitchen, may be ill take some inspirations. I am confused with white or dark cabinets.

  6. Loving the raw photos of the process. The sawdust on the tile? so beautiful! and seriously loving the dark paint swatches. Can’t wait to see what you have chosen. while i love the popular/current white esthetic, i’m also a fan of depth. It can add real dimension and originality. can’t wait to see the finished product! the team at Alice Lane combined with your taste is really paying off!
