Pink Peonies is a blog dedicated to being a source of inspiration for women and young girls who love fashion, beauty, home decor and family life. Here I give ideas and tips on how to bring beauty into your everyday life!
I started Pink Peonies in 2010 as a hobby as a way to document my first year of marriage to my husband Drew. It was more of a life journal for my friends and family to follow. Shortly after, our wedding was featured on the cover of Utah Valley Brides Magazine and that’s really when my blog took on a life of it’s own. All my wedding images that I blogged about were being pinned over and over and over again which drove tons of traffic to my little space on the internet. I started receiving fashion questions from women not only in Utah, but from around the entire country. They were more curious in what lipstick or top I was wearing than what activity my husband and I were doing that weekend. That’s what sparked the idea to start taking photos of my outfits and labeling where I got each item from.
Quickly, I started to be noticed by major brands in L.A. and New York. They could see from their analytics that a young mormon girl from Utah was driving not only traffic, but lots of sales. Pink Peonies then went from a hobby to a business and I feel so blessed that it has become my full-time job for over five years.
I just launched my very own clothing line, Rachel Parcell and am looking forward to growing and expanding not only Pink Peonies but my product line as well. In November I was featured in Forbes and the article goes into more detail about my clothing line and the process of starting my blog and growing it to what it is today (you can read the full article here).
Whether you’re a new follower or have been reading my blog from the beginning, thank you SO much for reading and supporting Pink Peonies. I will never be able to express how much it means to me. Love you all!
