This week has flown by, I can’t believe it’s already Thursday! I haven’t been able to find a lot of time to photograph my looks this week (between tackling my inbox, packing, moving and various other commitments) so I thought I would share outfit details from a few looks I’ve worn on my instagram lately that I’ve had a lot of questions about.
Easter has always been one of my very favorite holidays; I love the spirit and all of the festivities that come along with it. Apart from all the Easter egg hunts, loads of peanut M&M’s and family time, one of the things I always look forward to is selecting a spring-time ensemble for Easter Sunday. Blush tones have been on my radar this season, so when I spotted this dress a few weeks ago, I immediately knew it would make for the perfect Easter dress. To compliment my dress, I used YSL Kiss and Blush, Rose Epicurien, on my lips as well as my cheeks to set a soft and feminine tone to this look.
I’ve always been a YSL beauty junkie and if you’ve been a long-time follower of Pink Peonies you’ve probably noticed, in the outfit details section, that I wear a YSL lip color almost daily. When YSL announced they were launching a two-in-one product I could hardly wait to get my hands on it and try it out! The Nordstrom Exclusive, Baby Doll Kiss and Blush is an air-whipped mousse for a pop of color not only on your lips but your cheeks too! I first tested out Rose Epicurien and ended up loving it so much I purchased two more shades!
I love the formula because it’s buildable (see photo 2) and can be easily rubbed in with your finger. I typically shy away from lip x cheek products because I often find them to be too sticky but Kiss and Blush is the furthest thing from that, it almost feels like velvet on your skin and doesn’t dry out your lips or cheeks. Another feature I love is that you can mix and match the shades, a few days ago I wore Rose Epicurien on my cheeks and applied Fuschia Desinvolte to my lips and they complimented each other so well. On Easter morning, I wore Rose Epicurien on both my lips and cheeks for a soft and feminine color that matched my lace dress perfectly.
This post was brought to you by Nordstrom. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Mondays are always the hardest day of the week for me, especially when coming off of Easter weekend. I’m lagging a bit this morning and I think it’s due to all the holiday festivities and the one (or 200) too many Peanut M&M’s I munched on all weekend long :| (whoops, haha). Here’s to hoping your Monday morning is much more productive than mine! Thanks so much for reading.
